FactCheck.org Makes False Claim about Biden Travel Ban

FactCheck.org published an article titled "Social Media Posts Misrepresent Old Biden Tweet on Travel Ban" insinuating that Joe Biden did not criticize former President Donald Trump's travel ban.

FCO presents the following tweet from. then candidate, Joe Biden in regards to Trumps travel ban asserting that it was the Muslim ban he was referring to.

Trump further diminished the U.S. in the eyes of the world by expanding his travel ban. This new “African Ban,” is designed to make it harder for black and brown people to immigrate to the United States. It’s a disgrace, and we cannot let him succeed. https://t.co/oePD5eSAWY

While we do agree that in this particular tweet, Joe Biden may be referring to previous travel bans, that is not the tweet or the comments that "Social Media" is referring to. Rather, they are referring to this one he posted a day earlier on February 1st, 2020:

We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency.

Joe Biden is clearly referring to the Trump travel ban on China in the above tweet and this is the hypocrisy social media is referring to.
